The Enugu State Government has condemned the barbaric attack on a woman, Mrs Chinonso Echegi by her husband, Sunday Onyeahanachi Echegi. LIB reported that Echegi cut off his wife's hand over a misunderstanding at Ibagwa Ani in Nsukka Local Government Area of the state. The victim is currently undergoing treatment at Enugu State Teaching Hospital while the fleeing suspect has been arrested. Speaking through the Commissioner for Children, Gender Affairs, and Social Development, Ngozi Enih, the State Government condemned the barbaric attack and assured that the administration would ensure that the perpetrator faces the full wrath of the law.
