  A baby girl was born this morning in Lagos with a rare condition caused by a parasitic twin — an underdeveloped head and an extra arm attached to her stomach. Doctors at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) performed a successful four-hour surgery to remove the parasitic growth, which was feeding off the healthy baby's blood supply. The mother, 22, had not been aware of the condition during pregnancy. The hospital covered all medical costs, and the baby is recovering well and expected to be discharged soon. Parasitic twin cases are extremely rare, occurring in about 1 in 1 million births.

 Tragedy struck this morning when a pregnant woman lost her life after being bitten by a scorpion in her home. Reports indicate that she was alone at the time of the incident and died on the spot.

  A man was arrested this evening in Enugu State for allegedly preparing rotten dog meat and selling it as suya to unsuspecting customers. According to eyewitnesses, the suspect had been operating for some time before his activities were discovered. Local authorities apprehended him after receiving complaints about the suspicious taste and smell of the meat.
